Having Trouble Logging In?

If your login seems stuck or won’t complete, try the steps below in order. Most login issues can be resolved by following these quick checks.

Step 1: Try Logging In Again (Without Switching Tabs)

  • Reload the login page. 
  • Enter your credentials again. 
  • Stay on the same tab while the Food Detectives loading screen is on.

Switching tabs or minimizing the browser during the loading process can interrupt the authentication process.

 

Step 2: Try Using an Incognito / Private Window

Opening the app in an incognito (private) window helps rule out issues caused by cached data or browser extensions.

How to open an incognito window:

  • Chrome / Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + N (Mac) 
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + P (Mac) 
  • Safari: File → New Private Window

Log in again from the incognito window and see if the issue persists.

 

Step 3: Try a Different Browser

If the issue continues, attempt logging in using a different browser than your usual one.

Recommended browsers:

  • Google Chrome 
  • Mozilla Firefox 
  • Microsoft Edge 
  • Safari (Mac)

This helps identify whether the issue is browser-specific.

How to confirm JavaScript is enabled:

  • Chrome / Edge:
    Settings → Privacy & Security → Site Settings → JavaScript → Ensure it’s set to Allowed 
  • Firefox:
    Type about:config in the address bar → Search for javascript.enabled → Ensure it’s set to true 
  • Safari:
    Settings → Advanced → Ensure “Enable JavaScript” is checked
