PROBLEM 1: When I try to access the program, my computer says the “Page not found” or “I don’t have access”.

Solution: Type in the following address in your browser (don’t forget the ‘s’ in https): https://play.fooddetectives.org/
Explanation: Many people forget the ‘s’, don’t worry – sometimes we do too!

 

PROBLEM 2: I registered and am accessing the website for the first time, why is it taking a long time to load?

Solution: Give it a couple minutes, you’ll get there! The first time you sign in, the game will load on your computer.
Explanation: Depending on your internet speed, this could take less than a minute or quite a bit longer. Don’t fret! Once your game has loaded, subsequent logins should be much faster unless you delete your cookies.

 

PROBLEM 3: After a couple tries, the website is still not working!

Solution: 1) Try restarting your computer 2) Try an a different browser and trying incognito [there have been reports Chrome hasn’t been working but Safari does] or 3) Clear your cache – Don’t know how? Read below!

  1. Click the three dots in the top-right of your browser (Chrome or Edge).

  2. Go to Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data.

  3. Check “Cached images and files.”

  4. Click Clear data, then refresh the page.

That should do the trick!
